Hi I'm Marion
I have long been a fan of photography, family history and organization. Put all of these together and you get a person interested in helping others sort through photographs of family memories, help organize, sort and streamline those boxes of photos you have stored in your basement or attic.
I am a photographer, digital artist, scrapbooker and the family historian. With over 100K images and other digital resources I know what it's like to feel overwhelmed and concerned about preservation and look for ways to streamline, organize and access the treasure trove of memories in an efficient way.
When I started delving into digital collage six years ago I was faced with the daunting task of separating my collage type photos (I am an impulsive digital photographer) of clouds, trees, textures and patterns from my family photos, my daughters, partner, and our travels together.
The same happened when I was creating scrapbooks for my daughters. I had to rummage through, 20+ years of digital photos but also a few boxes of analog printed photos stuffed in my attic. I became concerned about preserving those photos as well as the scrapbooks I had created. I wanted to organize and get rid of the pictures that were blurry, overexposed, or no longer important. I also wanted to houseclean my digital photos so I could find what I wanted in the moment.
I know that if I was in a quandary over this (as a born organizer) I could only imagine what it felt like with the thousands of photos people have and the ones that may be lost in the process of getting new phone and not knowing how to transfer photos, Or being on the brink of retirement and wanting to downsize and yet preserve decades of memories. It can be truly overwhelming and daunting.
Let me help you and see if I can help with the chaos and overwhelm. Maybe it is as simple as showing you how to do it yourself or maybe you want to hand it over and let me whittle it down, digitize the lot and give you back something manageable, streamlined and accessible. Which ever the case; large or small let me give you a hand.
