Finding Family part 2

an old photo of a group of family members
Nichols Family

Summary so far: Old family photos of my great great grandfathers siblings and nieces and nephews. My great great grand father was oldest of 7: Simeon ( b1862), George (b1864),

Otis (b1866), Mary (b1869), Gertrude (b1871), Sabina (b1875), and Edward (b1879). And my great grandfather is the one in a dress. ( go figure)

The challenge? Identify the rest of the family including wives and husbands of Nichols siblings.

The first thing I did was put this picture under the research ancestry microscope.

There are pictures of Otis and his wife on Ancestry. Along with Clyde, Otis's son, Albert Cole Jr- Mary's son. Fred and Ruth, Simeon's children (my great grand father and his sister). I know Gertrude had 4 children between1901 and 1908 with her second husband Thomas Brady.

And finally George and Edward did not have any children that I could find.

After numerous tries and loosing count of who I had counted I made a chart of my best guess:

A rough diagram of a family tree
Family tree

In the end result I questioned 2 peoples placement: Adelaide was Simeons first wife and they were divorced at this time. In fact he had a whole new slew of kids. So was their divorce amicable and would she be in this picture. Also The woman I picked for georges wife. seems much older. She is leaning on a cane in the picture. She would be about late 40s in this picture. So ....without further confirmation for the time being. This will stand.

Stay tuned as I work my way thru the other two pictures which in theory should be easier right?
